just came home from People’s Park in Berkeley, where i spun an hour and a half set for DJ Muse’s annual outdoor event: Women Represent. it was nice to be there today: i’ve always enjoyed People’s Park. It’s got a long history of controversy, pertaining to university officials who’ve long since wanted to develop the land. But People’s Park is a public open space; it belongs to the community & i really always get that sense when i’m there. anyways, i came upon this article in the Chronicle & it made me smile quite big. it’s nice to read about good things happening to good people. also, lots of pictures from LUMA Fest are already available for viewing! Thank you, Mark! You can check them out: HERE sam
