I’m off to texas tomorrow!

that’s right, folks–i’m off to the Lone Star state to show Dallas and Austin what San Francisco breaks are made of… i’m playing with my favorite producers Son of the Electric Ghost (Bless Records) and the Carbon Community (Moonshine, Bless Records) this saturday & can’t wait. can’t wait to hear those guys live. can’t wait to throw it down with them :-) Many thanks to Blake Spincycle Productions for making this possible! 092703broken3front i’ll be back on tuesday october 7th, just in time for Pixelbiscuit’s Big wednesday on the 8th. the theme will be pimps & hoes, with special guest Seraphim (Sister SF, Bad Kitty). also, October marks the return of the Incredible Melting Man (2 WARS & a Revolution). we brought Anthony down from Canada earlier this year & i know many of you missed him. well, we’re gonna keep him with us for about a week & we’ll have plenty of opportunities for you to come & check him out. this man is one of my favorite DJs of all time. he’s an incredible producer & he’s just a blast to hang out with. so keep your eyes and ears peeled for more details….the last week of October is going to be off the hook. lastly, i want to bring to your attention Nitevibe’s top 10 DJs. if you haven’t already nominated you favorite San Francisco Bay Area DJs, please go & do so. last year, only two women made it in the top 10. furthermore, breaks and drum&bass were not represented at all. lets change this! go vote for your favorite DJs! www.nitevibe.com/top10nom.htm see you in two weeks! keep it locked :-) sam

Melodic synths to banging bass

well, no shit….hey, thanks guys for the props in your interview. Check out a recent interview with the Carbon Community & what they have to say about some of us here in the SF/Bay Area: “Dave’s right a lot of the San Fran stuff is just pumpin. DJs like Samira and Kirsten of Witches Brew have these soothing styles that take you through melodic synths to banging bass all in one mix. Its greatness!” Read the whole interview on Bass Pressure: HERE

I’m so F@*&ing excited, I can hardly stand it! I’ve just been wanting to see each of these live acts perform, because I love their music & spin their tracks all the time. Geting the opportunity to play with them & hang out with them…… < –huge ass grin Thank you Cody and Dave, and Blake from Spincycle Productions! looking forward to September. pocketful of smiles sam
