Happy Birthday KIRSTEN!

Kirsten is my friend & my breakbeat betty partner in crime. She & i practice synchronized swimming while djing, and i love her: more than campus on a non-game day more than bird chatter on my roof more than butterflies more than plenty of monitors more than blue vinyl more than new records more than the outgoing message that is on paul’s phone more than EQ more than purple hair more than plump bananas more than PHP add-on modules more than playing hookie from work more than little bit loves to sharpen her nails on my couch more than the warm imprint on the bed where little bit slept last night more than scripting more than sunshine more than being the first person to go through skills’ breakbeat shipment but i don’t like it when she ties Elmo to bottlerockets, but everything’s alright again when we take the slingshot on the roof & launch waterballoons. kirsten is the shit! Happy 30th Birthday, Kir! thank you for your beautiful friendship.

DJ Ghost Dogg

Just finished listening to DJ Ghost Dogg’s Making Things Worse, and i highly recommend checking this out. All original stuff, and the whole thing is just excellent. You can get it at Ceiba Records (lower Haight), or mailorder it from them: HERE

Qoöl was a blast

oh, damn! Qol was such a blast yesterday! Great to see everyone out. Thanks so much for the support & many thanks to Jackie & the rest of the QoÃ¶l crew for hosting Sister SF. Mark took a shitload of pictures, which you can see: HERE. Ghost Dogg stopped by & managed to snap some photos. thank you, Michael. 111 Minna Seraphim played a KICK-ASS set–it was thumping! Speaking of, Paul and i joined Seraphim this evening, for a good session of electro and breaks, and Sarah and Paul came armed with 80’s tracks as well…it was fun! Check the flyer; it made me laugh out loud when Sarah sent it to me earlier tonight: BadKitty tomorrow, i’ll let post all the details for an awesome party that will go down at the Mezzanine on February 6th! Paul made the flyer & it looks GREAT. And the party promises to be a good one. Stay tuned for more info! sam
