Radio Show for Pasha
i dedicated friday’s radio show to Pasha. Josh and Steve and Stephen had just left the day before, making their way to Texas & to the hospital where Pasha resides at the moment. every bit of spinning i’ve done these past three weeks has been entirely consumed with thoughts of Pasha. it has been a very good way to channel some of the worrying, and attempt to send some healing vibes to our friend… you can listen to the stream: HERE i’ve been working on a CD for him, but it’s not quite ready yet. i’ve never obsessed so much over any of my recordings. i don’t plan out my sets: i simply do them in one shot. but this one’s been very different. i think i’ve already recorded 5 or 6 different versions… i want it to convey our mutual love for music & dancing: i want the music to focus on Pasha, to maintain a vision of him dancing and spinning fire. i don’t want it to be driven by my own worries. anyways, the CD opens with the Future Sound of London’s Papua New Guinea (the radio archive does as well). it has been my theme song for the past three weeks & it has helped me visualize him doing what he loves to do… he’s officially out of the coma now…. we love you Pasha Pasha (may he spin fire soon again) 01.
