Randall the Candle
Randall is a great story-teller, and he has a wicked sense of metaphor. He also loves angles and reflections. He can make dreamscapes with lights and glass. Randall is more powerful than witches, and children have been known to see his aura. He is most definitely the one you call when shit starts to fall apart. Randall is a continual flood of surprise. Randall is funny but, more importantly, he has a great sense of humor. Randall talks a lot, yet he simultaneously always keeps his word. Randall is forgiving. He is also brutally honest and at times abrassive. Randall is extremely sensitive–so sensitive that he may seem to be the exact opposite. He is also extremely perceptive. He will remember things about you that are important to you–even things that are so important to you that you might rather forget them. You will learn that Randall can see right through you–and that it is the cause for his loyalty. Randall thinks about life a lot: cause and effect, the past and the future. There are moments, however, when Randall does not think about cause and effect, the past and the future. And perhaps Randall doesn’t know that i love him because of those very moments. Moments when the story he’s telling suddenly tells him: Like when he’s running across the lawn with a dog, even though he is a self-proclaimed cat person, or like when he’s dancing, or when he’s spinning records and has no clue how captivated you are. or, when you realize that Randall loves his mother more than any of us will ever know. i love you Randall–thank you for all that you bring into my life.
