Beatmatch was incredible!
you know what’s so crazy about my set last friday? i remember it record for record. i actually pulled my set-list out from that night the next day, which is something i have never been able to do. especially considering that my record box is usually a disastrous mess at the end of the night (and it was again on friday). but i remember my set so clearly, every mix, from the moment i dropped a new record in to the moment i pulled out of each mix. i just knew from the moment i dropped that first track that my set would be strong and loud and tight. i don’t think i’ve ever felt so confident. the crowd was completely there & they just wanted more and more and more. Cece had told me: “i want you to play with absolutely no mercy….” well, the crowd told me the same thing that night. it was incredible :-) SO many people came up to me that night & thanked me profusely for making that event possible. not your standard “you played a great set”, but people truly being grateful for the experience. quite remarkable.
